Hey Michelle – it’s called Driftwood – by Dryden Woodoil. The photos on our site show it with one coat ex the factory, we have just applied the second coat and it makes it slightly darker and more polished looking, while still keeping all of the lovely grain and colour fluctuations between boards. Your build seems to be coming along nicely!

My husband and I are building in New Plymouth, it’s semi-remote in terms of sussing out cladding and getting ideas, so it’s awesome to see another house using similar designs and cladding. We’re conservative types so we’re sticking to the old fashioned way of building, although pre-fab looks like a great option.

Thanks Louise! Oh boy, we’ve spent so long deliberating on our cedar. Both the profile and the colour, but we’re absolutely stoked with our final decisions. Looks so good. Such a beautiful cladding option eh! Where about are you building? Love to see it

Wow! I really like your cedar colour, we have nearly finished our build and it took me ages to decide on the cedar stain! I’m enjoying following your progress for your modern ideas and colour scheme. Your house is looking great!
